Instead of using a virtual machine or installing Linux separately, you could just install WSL :')
What is WSL?
WSL(Windows Subsystem for Linux) basically allows you to run Linux distribution directly on windows 10 besides other window applications.
Programmers and software developers are able to use Linux for setting up programming environments and use different tools for deployment within windows, which means you no longer have to leave the windows ecosystem or use virtual machines.
Microsoft, In my opinion, made a really strategic move by adding a Linux kernel compatibility layer for windows, If it continues to develop, Microsoft would have swallowed up the entire segment.
when it comes to development it all comes down to convenience, in which case Microsoft might soon dominate.
